Embedded Software Engineer - 1394
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is experienced in developing sophisticated video distribution systems over cable and wireless home networks. We are especially looking for experience in 1394, 61883 and IP over 1394 transport protocols, as well as experience with TCP/IP and UDP/IP.
The Embedded Software Engineer needs to have the following technical skills: Solid understanding of embedded software design for timing critical systems, using C code. We need someone who has experience in using software design tools, such as: RVDS, RVI, MS VC++/.NET, gnu, as well as a solid understanding of embedded protocol design for complex multi-protocol bridging, especially 1394 and IP protocol design. This person should have a good understanding of standard MAC and higher layer design and optimization choices and issues, and needs to be familiar with the concepts of 1394 L2 and L3 bridging.
Experience in video formats MPEG, JPEG2000 and distribution control protocols CEA-2027 and CEA-931-B is considered very valuable. Also, experience in cable distribution protocols (e.g. MOCA, DOCSIS) and wireless applications (e.g. 802.15.3, 802.11, Bluetooth) is considered a big plus.
We are looking for someone who has a BS or MS (preferred) in Computer Engineering/Science or Electrical Engineering and 10 years+ of related experience
