Pulse~LINK Signs A2E as Design Center Partner In Preparation for Product Rollout in 2007
Carlsbad, CA-December 129, 2006 - A2E Technologies, a leader in product development and engineering services, has partnered with Pulse~LINK Inc., provider of Whole-Home Interactive HD™ semiconductor solutions, to facilitate design support for customers incorporating CWave® Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology. Pulse~LINK's rollout of CWave® products, enabling unprecedented whole-home connectivity of HDTV and multimedia content, will begin Q1 2007.
As a design resource, A2E Technologies will provide product and technical development support to Pulse~LINK customers implementing the CWave® PL3100 chipset into consumer products. "UWB is one of the most compelling technologies on the horizon in the digital home marketplace," states Rosendo Gonzalez, CEO of A2E Technologies. "CWave® in particular, with its unmatched performance for wireless and wired whole home connectivity, has tremendous momentum. We are thrilled to support the rollout of these products by offering A2E's recognized technical expertise and experience in product development to Pulse~LINK customers."
Pulse~LINK's CWave® Whole-Home Interactive HD™ solution is the first technology to facilitate room-to-room distribution of multiple HDTV streams and multimedia content over both coax and wireless connections simultaneously from the same chipset. Devices enabled with the CWave® UWB PL3100 chipset allow HD/Multimedia content located anywhere in the home to be shared across the existing coax backbone with wireless networking connections in each room for set-top boxes, HDTVs, DVRs, DVD players, media center PCs, and other multimedia equipment. Unequaled data carrying capacity also enables interactive "Trick Play" capabilities (pause, fast-forward, fast-rewind) and menu navigation throughout the home.
CWave® supports simultaneous operation of both 1394, preferred by the High Definition Audio-Video Network Alliance (HANA), and Gigabit Ethernet, preferred by the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA), with guaranteed end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS).
"With the large amount of traction we are receiving in the marketplace, additional resources are required to provide the quality of support and expertise needed by customers for their product development," states Dan Friedman, VP Marketing for Pulse~LINK. "A2E Technologies' outstanding engineering expertise in our target market applications and reputation for providing quality solutions will be a great asset for Pulse~LINK customers as we ramp up production for the coming year."
Pulse~LINK is an International CES 2007 Innovations Design & Engineering award winner and will be showcasing its CWave® technology at CES in the TechHome TechZone, South Hall 2, Booth# 26621.
